And then they have bad skin anyway.
I've been there too. Bought everything. Used everything. Nothing worked.
Then I stopped. Got lazy actually. And my skin got better.
Weird right?
Not really.
Because good skin isn't about products. It's about habits. Boring ones. The ones nobody wants to talk about.
So here they are. Seven of them. Nothing fancy.
Wash your face. But properly.
Seriously.
They use hot water. They scrub hard. They use those rough towels.
Stop.
Just use lukewarm water. A gentle cleanser. Your hands. That's it.
Pat dry. Don't rub.
Thought that meant it was clean. Nope. Just meant I was stripping it.
Sunscreen. No excuses.
I used to skip sunscreen.
Too oily. Too white. Too lazy.
Big mistake.
Now I wear it every day. Rain or shine. Inside or outside.
The sun doesn't care about clouds. Or windows. It's always there. Always damaging.
Just find one you like. There are so many nice ones now. Light. Non-greasy. No white cast.
Put it on every morning. Like brushing your teeth.
Drink water. Use moisturizer.
Both. Not one. Both.
Water alone isn't enough. Your skin needs a barrier. That's what moisturizer does.
But also — drink water.
Try it. Drink more water for a week. See the difference.
For moisturizer — pick what works for your skin.
Oily? Gel.
Dry? Cream.
Simple.
Eat real food.
Not gonna tell you to eat salad every day. That's unrealistic.
But eat some veggies. Some fruits. Some good stuff.
Your skin knows what you're eating. Trust me.
I ate junk for a month once. My skin broke out like crazy. Went back to normal food. Skin cleared up.
Coincidence? I don't think so.
Sleep. Actually sleep.
I used to stay up till 3 AM scrolling.
Then wonder why I looked tired.
Stupid, right?
Now I try to sleep by 11. Same time every night.
My skin looks so much better. Brighter. Less puffy.
Try it for a week.
This one's hard.
We all do it. Rest our chin on our hand. Scratch our nose. Rub our eyes.
But your hands are dirty. All the time.
So just... stop. Be aware of it.
Also — change your pillowcase. Wash your brushes. Clean your phone.
These little things help. More than you'd think.
Stick to one routine.
This is the biggest one.
People switch products every week. Then complain nothing works.
Of course nothing works. You didn't give it time.
Pick a routine.
Do it for a month.
If you want to add something — add it slowly. One at a time.
That's how you know what's actually working.
One more thing.
Your skin isn't someone else's skin.
What works for your favorite influencer? Might break you out.
What works for your friend?
Stop comparing. Stop chasing products. Start paying attention to your own skin.
It'll tell you what it needs.
You just have to listen.
So yeah.
Seven habits. Nothing expensive. Nothing complicated.
Just consistency.
And patience.
Your skin will thank you later.
I promise.
