The Veil : Appearance

It was like I received a little something from Japan itself. I would be lying if I say I wasn’t overwhelmed with the energy flowing through it’s packaging. The box, beautifully wrapped in what I recall, red smooth fine silk cloth. Unwrapping just that made me feel that I went back in time into ancient Japan, prolly in the Heian Era. The only thing that was needed was just a kimono and I would have been set. What? A girl can dream, right? (even though that’s the only thing that I have been doing since I received this beauty treasure)

The packaging of the products inside made me realise that GBS and Kakizaki family came up with the utmost creative, simple and aesthetic facet that there is, in the world of packaging. If achieving simplicity was the screening outline in this curation, their packaging manner understood the assignment.

ORIGAMI Packaging that is reusable and can be used to make bookmarks and more, undoubtedly cleared my vibe check!

Not to forget, the products themselves carry the subtlety and all the necessary details on it, that there is, with the most beautiful font and art, and dressed in the veil of red, black and golden colours.

The Essence : Feels

Tsubaki Blend Oil feels like a light weighted-concentrated liquid which flows easily at it’s first touch. The texture isn’t heavy like the other oil formulas. Absolute colourless appearance, as well as it does have a very earthy fragrant essence to it, like a blend of floral oils.

Beni Lip Nourishing Seed, on the other hand, is just as similar in its texture, like the Tsubaki Blend oil. I mean, that the lip mask doesn’t feel heavy on your fingers when you first touch it. The texture of the mask is surprisingly like a lip balm which I didn’t expect. While opening the bottle I honestly thought that it would be a quite heavy créme-like formula or something. But NO. This mask also carries a faint fragrance related to floral and earthy ingredients.

Tsukihime Silk Puff doesn’t need any of my help as it describes itself with its own name. Absolute silk touch is what it offers. And honestly, I feel like touching it again and again. It’s very hard to say that it is handmade as it’s that soothing and perfect to touch.

The Caress : Partake on Skin

As I applied the Blend Oil on my face, it right away took me off guard as it got absorbed into my skin so fast that for a whole minute I was wondering whether I used a small amount of it on my skin or what. After five minutes, my face got supple with moisture and got smooth with no oil sticking onto the skin. The fragrance was not at all overwhelming, in fact was quite soothing. It didn’t irritate my skin issues like breakouts and all, which was a relief.

But for the hair, the oil was more than just smoothening. My hair felt like feathers or better, like silk strands. I tried it on both damp and dry hair, and both times it made me cry as my hair never felt so pampered before. I couldn’t stop touching my hair all day. (people thought that I had gone insane) But does all of that really matter when you are having a good hair day? Might as well click some selfies when all the things are working out for you.

Where’s the lie? Huh.

The Beni Seed Mask, genuinely, felt that it wasn’t even there on my lip. The magic and the comfort that this lip mask carries is far beyond and unreal. My lips felt soft and supple just like a baby’s. As a person with chapped lips and one who bites them a lot, this product surely makes up for things that happen to my lips, intentionally and unintentionally.

I am kind of scared to write about the Silk Puff because there is so much that I feel but I don’t have enough words to share. The touch of the puff felt as if a whole country was caressing my face and asking me, ‘Do you feel my love?’. That being asked, I wanted to scream – ‘HAI’  ‘はい’. Enough Said.

The Silk Puff gently removed the excess oil and dirt from my face without irritating the breakouts on my skin. Just cleansing the face with a gentle face cleanser and using this Tsukihime Silk Puff is enough to exfoliate the skin. No harm does to your face skin.

The Hallmarks : Ingredients

Now, I haven’t really gotten down in explaining deeply how all these earthy florals, their oils and their seeds are beneficial to us. Because if I do that, I could write a thesis and you all will stop reading the article and I don’t want that because the best part is yet to come; where I share my analysis and call of notion.

But, if you guys really wanna go into details, I have got you covered! Just click at the hyperlinks of the product’s name above and read to your heart’s content. As your very own girl, I’VE GOT YOUR BACKS!

The Glory : Analysis

According to me, Kyoto Beauty Secrets is glorious, exclusive, a powerhouse and encloses the vintage comfort one finds in the heritage. Here are the reasons how it took me to that enlightenment.

The Blend Oil instilled with all the goodness of Camellia flower, which is the enigma behind the geisha and maiko’s flawless skin and and long, silky hair; provided my hair with the much needed nourishment, health and the strength to withhold all the harm done in today’s world. It has flourished my mane and gave the skin the subtle glow and dew after only a few numbers of uses. The credibility that it has for itself is that divine.

Same goes for the Lip Beni Mask, as the regular usage of this luscious and hydrating goodness, made my lips supple and soft. It’s non-sticky and non-greasy, and carries the natural aroma which provides its very own therapy. And the best part is that it smoothes out the creases, now that’s a healing way to cherish.

The puff made from the silk strand of the vintage kimono finer than human hair, gently lifted the dirt and impurities off my skin, without even letting the skin know about the process. It is actually gentler than your own hands to your face. As it’s 100% handmade, it does have some irregularity in its shape but they are bare minimum.

Every region has its own definition of beauty, making it exclusive. Relevantly, we merrily explore all the Japanese beauty rituals with Global Beauty Secrets and Kakizaki family. Check it out here.

The Caliber : Worthwhile?

Are you still waiting to know what it’s worth after reading all of that? Just save some bucks and make the purchase. Like I said, it’s a holy grail. Worth all your time, money and effort.

Fairly, you’ll be using most of the product while sleeping so it won’t even take that much of your time.

The Key Call : Our Notion

Now the best part…! The whole Tashinami – Kyoto beauty secrets range comes with a book written by our very own Aishwarya N. Swarna and Junko Sophie Kakizaki, who together curated this Kyoto range, on ‘Tashinami – 9 Mindful Japanese Rituals To Feel Beautiful Inside Out’.
